"The Celina Governors Cup Regatta committee announced today that the 2010 Race has been cancelled. The deterioration of the water in and around our race course area has left us with no choice but to cancel our race in the interest of safety for our volunteers, the racers, and all the support personnel that it takes to conduct the Celina Governors Cup Regatta. The issues with our lake were too much to overcome."

Yet another "oops" above!

What I was trying to do is post the video link below. It's an amateur vid from this past weekends limited race in Cambridge Maryland. Mighty nice amateur stuff I'd say! Bummer about Celina and it's pollution problem. What are we doing to our planet!? Years ago there was a fast limited race course in Essex Maryland and it was downstream from a sewage treatment plant. You didn't want to fall out of a boat there. There was a great limited race site in St. Petersburg FL years ago and it was pretty much swamp water with all kinds of natural primal organisms in it. Heck, the old Miami Marine Stadium is right next door to the city's primary sewage treatment plant and sometimes when the wind was blowing it could get really fragrant.

That is the way it is (was) in Evansville. The last couple of years there has been talk of polution to the Ohio by plant problems and then we have a race.
